Tyre fitting cost in the UAE: what a fitted price includes

What UAE tyre retailers include in a fitted price, what garages may add for fitting, balancing, valves and disposal, and what to check at the fitting bay.

Short answer

  • On 23 October 2026, three UAE online retailers said their fitted price includes VAT, fitting, balancing, a new valve, delivery and old-tyre disposal.
  • Wheel alignment was not part of the fitted price at any of them.
  • A retailer's March 2026 survey put Dubai garage extras at about AED 130 to 270 per tyre, on top of the tyre itself.
  • Warranty terms varied: tire.ae listed one, two or five years by model; PitStopArabia advertised a lifetime warranty.
  • Before the tyres go on, check the size, load index, speed rating and date code on each one.

When a UAE tyre retailer quotes a "fitted" price, it usually covers more than the tyre. The three online sellers we checked on 23 October 2026 each said their fitted price includes VAT, fitting, balancing, a new valve, delivery to the fitter and disposal of the old tyre. Wheel alignment was not included at any of them.

A walk-in garage that quotes the tyre alone may add those items on top. One retailer's March 2026 survey put the extras at about AED 130 to 270 per tyre in Dubai. Ask for a fully fitted, VAT-inclusive price per tyre and you can compare quotes fairly.

What does a fitted tyre price include?

Here is what each seller's 205/55 R16 listing page said on 23 October 2026.

Item PitStopArabia Dial-A-Tire tire.ae
VAT Included Included Included
Fitting Included Included (bead-lock wheels excluded) Included (bead-lock wheels excluded)
Balancing Included Included Included
New rubber valve Included Included (standard valve) Included (standard valve)
Delivery to fitter Included Included Included
Old tyre disposal Included Included Included
Wheel alignment Not in the fitted price Not listed Not listed
Tyre rotation Not listed One free rotation with four tyres Free rotations every 10,000 km listed

Dial-A-Tire and tire.ae both state there is nothing extra to pay at the fitter on the day. Rotation offers differ, and Dial-A-Tire's page gave two different intervals in different places, so read the terms.

How much do garages charge for fitting and balancing?

If you buy from a shop that prices the tyre alone, these are the extras to ask about. The figures come from a comparison published by PitStopArabia on 28 March 2026. PitStopArabia sells tyres online and has a commercial interest in the comparison, so treat these as one seller's estimates.

Service, per tyre incl. VAT Dubai Abu Dhabi Sharjah
Fitting and removal AED 40 to 80 AED 35 to 70 AED 30 to 60
Wheel balancing AED 50 to 100 AED 50 to 90 AED 40 to 80
New rubber valve AED 20 to 40 AED 15 to 35 AED 15 to 30
Old tyre disposal AED 20 to 50 AED 15 to 40 AED 10 to 30
Total extras per tyre AED 130 to 270 AED 115 to 235 AED 95 to 200
Four-wheel alignment (per car) AED 100 to 300 AED 100 to 250 AED 80 to 200

We have not found an independent survey of garage fitting charges in the UAE.

Worked example: comparing a garage quote with a fitted price

Say a Dubai garage quotes AED 300 per tyre for a 205/55 R16, tyre only. Using the low and high ends of the Dubai extras above:

  • Low: 300 + 40 + 50 + 20 + 20 = AED 430 per tyre, or AED 1,720 for four.
  • High: 300 + 80 + 100 + 40 + 50 = AED 570 per tyre, or AED 2,280 for four.

Compare that with fitted prices listed online on the same size. On 23 October 2026, for example, a 2025 Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance was listed at AED 330 to 371 fitted, depending on the seller. See our October 2026 price snapshot.

The point is not that garages always cost more. Many quote fitted prices too. The point is to compare the same bundle: tyre, fitting, balancing, valve, disposal and VAT.

Do I need wheel alignment with new tyres?

Alignment was not included in any fitted price we saw. A 2018 Khaleej Times guide said that hitting a pothole, kerb or large object can knock wheels out of alignment and cause uneven, early wear. RoadSafetyUAE suggests checking balance and alignment when you rotate tyres. If your old tyres wore unevenly, ask the fitter to check alignment before the new ones go on.

Tyre warranty: what sellers say

Warranty terms are set by each seller and maker, and they vary.

  • tire.ae showed a warranty period per tyre on 23 October 2026: five years on some Yokohama and Goodyear models, two years on several budget and Dunlop models, and one year on some Laufenn and Nexen models. The listing page did not say what the warranty covers.
  • PitStopArabia advertised a "lifetime warranty on every tyre" on its March 2026 comparison page, without giving the terms on that page.
  • Dial-A-Tire's listing page did not show a warranty period.

A warranty period on its own tells you little about what is covered. Ask whether it is the manufacturer's warranty or the seller's, whether it covers punctures and road damage or only defects, and whether it is counted from purchase or from manufacture. Keep the invoice, which should show the size, model and date code.

What to check while the tyres go on

The fitting bay is your last chance to catch a problem.

  1. Size and ratings. Check that the size, load index and speed rating match your door placard or manual. RoadSafetyUAE advises the correct type and size and staying within load and speed ratings.
  2. Date code. Read the four-digit date on each tyre. In 2012 the Ministry of Economy fined some shops AED 100,000 for selling old tyres as new, DriveArabia reported. See how to read a tyre date code.
  3. Where new tyres go. On a two-wheel-drive car, RoadSafetyUAE says to put a new pair on the rear axle. On a permanent four-wheel drive, it advises replacing all four.
  4. Balancing. If you feel vibration through the steering wheel afterwards, go back; the 2018 Khaleej Times guidance says to have tyres balanced professionally.
  5. Pressure. Make sure the fitter sets the pressure on your door placard, not the maximum on the sidewall. See tyre pressure in UAE heat.
  6. Old tyres. If disposal is included, leave them with the fitter. Don't take them home to sell; selling used tyres has been banned since 2012.

Ask how the tyres were stored

Under the 2012 ESMA rules, as reported by Gulf News, shops must store tyres at no more than 25°C and must not stack them on top of each other. The same rules required new tyres imported into the UAE to withstand temperatures up to 50°C and to hold a certificate of conformity. You cannot easily check storage yourself, but a tyre with a recent date code from a seller with an indoor, air-conditioned store is a safer starting point than one from an open yard.

How often should tyres be rotated?

Sources differ. RoadSafetyUAE, reported by Gulf News in 2020, suggests about every 10,000 km or as the manufacturer advises. The 2018 Khaleej Times guide mentions switching front and rear about every 5,000 km, while also deferring to the car maker. Your owner's manual is the best guide for your car.

What to check before you act

  • Ask every shop for a fitted price per tyre including VAT, balancing, valve and disposal.
  • Ask whether alignment is included or extra.
  • Get the warranty terms in writing and keep the invoice.
  • Check size, load index, speed rating and date code before fitting.
  • Confirm the pressures are set to your door placard.
